Patrick T. HeniganMedia, Pennsylvania Pat began his legal career as an associate in the Commercial Litigation Department at Stradley, Ronon, Stevens and Young. After several years of handling complex commercial matters at Stradley, Pat moved to a small national litigation boutique where he acquired significant trial experience. Pat now has first chair trial experience in over one hundred cases. He has tried cases in the federal and state courts in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Colorado, New York, Massachusetts, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Delaware, Ohio and West Virginia. Pat has significant appellate experience having argued cases before the Pennsylvania Superior Court, Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in construction and employment litigation actions as well as personal injury matters. In addition to his courtroom experience, Pat has significant experience in protecting intellectual property rights before government agencies including the preparation of trademark applications and processing the applications through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He successfully litigated before the Trademark Appeals Board to overcome examiner objections and obtained trademark registration for products, preserving the client’s investment in “branding” its services. Pat has litigated intellectual property actions in the federal and state courts in disputes over patent ownership as well as obtained injunctive relief preventing the unlawful use of proprietary information by competitors. Pat secured a six figure judgment in favor of a business owner against a former partner who was utilizing confidential information to compete against the business. Pat moved to Delaware County twenty- five years ago after graduating from St. Josephs’ University where he was a varsity soccer player. He has remained active in soccer, serving on the Boards of Haverford Soccer Club and Marple Newtown Soccer Association. Pat has coached youth soccer for fifteen years and currently is coach of two travel teams as well as serving as Director of Player Development. Pat continues to play soccer with a men’s team in several local leagues. Pat resides in Broomall with his wife Janice who is an account executive for Sabre Marketing, Inc., an international marketing and branding firm. Pat’s two sons are studying at Temple University and his daughters are finishing high school. |
