Fatal Wreck Claims Man’s Life in Berks CountyA fatal wreck claimed a man’s life on Tuesday morning in Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. The accident occurred around 5:19 am on Route 61 at Tuckerton Road and involved two vehicles. A man was driving his car and apparently lost control, colliding into another car when he was approaching the intersection. The man succumbed to his fatal injuries upon impact. The woman in the other car sustained personal injuries and was taken to the Reading Hospital.

Side impact collisions, which may occur in an accident within an intersection, put drivers and passengers at-risk for incurring personal injuries or even fatalities. Nearly 10,000 fatalities result from this type of car accident per year. Other types of accidents like head on collisions and high-speed collisions also contribute to the annual number of fatal car accidents.
