Joe specializes in estate planning and estate administration and is highly qualified to prepare sophisticated estate plans. He has successfully handled numerous federal estate tax audits. Joe takes pride in guiding families as they transfer businesses from the older generation to the younger.

His focus in business, from small to large, includes everything from the formation of various business entities to the preparation of business agreements and documents and to the representation of buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of businesses. Joe graduated magna cum laude from Saint Joseph’s University in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School on full scholarship, graduating in 1963. Before beginning his law practice he worked in the Tax Department of Arthur Anderson in Philadelphia. He earned a Master of Laws degree in Taxation in 1976 from Temple University School of Law.

Joe Monte has been practicing law with Eckell, Sparks since 1964 and has been a partner since 1967. With a strong accounting background he has been the chief financial officer for over 35 years and maintains a vital role in the management of the firm.
