Jonathan E. Becker
Jonathan Becker is an attorney at Eckell, Sparks, Levy, Auerbach, Monte, Sloane, Matthews & Auslander, P.C., in Media, Pennsylvania. Jonathan graduated with an A.B. in Political Science from Syracuse University, earned his J.D. from Ohio Northern University College of Law, where he was a member of the Willis Society and the Law Review, and earned Advocate of the Year honors, and received his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law School. Jonathan has been practicing law for over twenty years, most recently serving as Senior Trust Counsel to Commonwealth Trust Company in Delaware since 2012.
Jonathan’s practice focuses primarily upon the areas of estate planning, estate & trust administration, complex trust and tax issues, and entails the review, drafting, modification and implementation of overall estate plans, wills, and a wide array of trusts. His experience working in both private practice and with an institutional trustee give him a unique perspective on the resolution of issues arising in complex trust administration and fiduciary matters, and has allowed him the opportunity to work with hundreds of attorneys in crafting appropriate trust language, transactional structures and practical solutions to tax issues.
Jonathan is admitted to the Bars of the Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, the District of Columbia, Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has been recognized as a Top Attorney in Pennsylvania in the areas of Estate Planning and Probate for the past seven years by Philadelphia Magazine, and previously as ‘Best Tax Attorney by Main Line Today. Jonathan is a past President of the Media Rotary Club, and lives in Drexel Hill, with his wife Mary Beth and daughter Audrey.
